Silver Terrace

Welcome to Silver Terrace

Silver Terrace lies in the southeastern district of San Francisco, a smaller enclave tucked into the western portion of the expansive Bayview neighborhood.

Both renters and homeowners inhabit the homes here. The streets are heavy with single-family abodes, with a smattering of multi-unit residences. The location of Silver Terrace boasts extremely easy access to two freeways that hug its north and southwestern borders, Highway 101 and I-280.

With no large commercial hubs, residents enjoy the small storefronts and restaurants within the neighborhood and can travel to nearby regions such as Bernal Heights to further explore epicurean adventures and fill shopping needs. One amenity within its borders is a City College of San Francisco campus located along Newcomb Avenue. It features a One Stop Service Center that assists with admissions and enrollment, new student counseling, financial aid, and tutoring services.

There are two mini-parks in Silver Terrace along Palou Avenue, along with Silver Terrace Playground, a neighborhood park that features a turf field, sports courts, a baseball diamond, and a variety of play equipment. Similar to its surrounding neighbor, the Bayview, residents here enjoy an active role in the Quesada Gardens Initiative, focusing on building a sustainable community that starts with empowering locals to define their environment and to connect in the process.

Silver Terrace is an often-overlooked neighborhood hidden by the more expansive Bayview and overshadowed by larger neighboring areas. But once discovered, Silver Terrace has a lot to offer residents looking for a residential neighborhood with a city vibe.
