San Bruno

Welcome to San Bruno

San Bruno is situated centrally in San Mateo County, convenient to San Francisco, Santa Cruz, and San Jose. San Francisco International Airport is located near here in an unincorporated portion of San Mateo County, making it a regular stopover for international travelers.

San Bruno, incorporated in 1914, is geographically defined by majestic San Bruno Mountain and a state park with the same name. The dedicated open space is accessible for hiking and biking with a backdrop of panoramic San Francisco skyline views. Home to several other parks, notably the Junipero Serra County Park, you’ll find hundreds of acres of recreational facilities as well as protected wilderness.

The San Bruno BART station opened in 2003, making transportation even more accessible. YouTube moved its headquarters here in 2007 and is now the largest employer in town. The diverse community includes a wide variety of some of the Bay Area’s more affordable homes (with backyards!).
