Hercules

Welcome to Hercules

Geographically, Hercules is located in a central spot to many key Northern California locations. San Francisco is 22 miles to the southwest, and Napa is 25 miles north. Sacramento is 57 miles northeast, San Jose is 50 miles south.

Hercules was recently voted by Forbes Magazine as a “most livable metro-area suburb.” Four thriving neighborhoods make up the eight square miles on the shores of the Bay: Hilltown, the Waterfront, the Central Corridor and the Hospitality District. Add to that the 950 acres of open space and trails, and you’ll find a remarkable town with loyal residents who appreciate their quality of life.

In 2000, more than 300 residents met to plan their community and created the Central Hercules Plan. That plan included those four neighborhoods and a desire for walkability, connection and neighborhood centers. Hercules is a great example of planned growth so that its original charm, history and lifestyle are maintained through its growth and development.
