Geyserville

Welcome to Geyserville

Geyserville is a small, storybook town tucked into the Alexander Valley, about an hour north of San Francisco and just seven miles from Healdsburg. Its short main street — once part of Highway 101 — retains its 19th-century, false-front storefronts and wooden boardwalks, giving the whole town a quiet, old-fashioned charm that belies how much there is to do here.

The area takes its name from the geothermal springs discovered nearby in 1847, which drew tourists and eventually gave rise to the settlement itself. Today, Geyserville is better known as one of Sonoma County's great wine towns, home to dozens of wineries — from the famous Francis Ford Coppola Winery to smaller family-run producers like Trentadue, Pech Merle, and Locals Tasting Room. Longtime local favorites like Catelli's and Diavola Pizzeria round out a dining scene that punches well above the town's size.

Life here moves at an unhurried pace — bicycling the valley roads, picnicking among the vines, or joining in community traditions like the May Day Festival and the Fall Colors Festival & Vintage Car Show. It's a peaceful, close-knit community for those who want wine country living without the crowds.
