Cotati

Welcome to Cotati

Cotati is a small, incorporated city between Rohnert Park and Petaluma, about 45 miles north of San Francisco. Combining the best of all worlds, Cotati (like all of Sonoma County) is considered part of the San Francisco Bay Area, the Redwood Empire and a part of the Wine Country.

Its postcard setting encompasses rolling hills, majestic redwoods and picturesque vineyards. All this combined with Cotati’s close proximity to an acclaimed state university and the larger city of Santa Rosa add up to an ideal place to live and prosper. Careful attention to growth and expansion have allowed the city to thrive while maintaining its history and charm.

Culturally, Cotati has an abundance of enriching opportunities available, such as the annual Cotati Jazz Festival, the new Cotati Philharmonic, the annual Kid’s Day Parade and the internationally acclaimed Cotati Accordion Festival.

Cotati is proud of its mixed-use development and “green” building programs. The business community is an active one and offers a nice variety of retail opportunities. The hexagonal downtown plaza is one of only two such designs in the country, and is California Historical Landmark No. 879.

Mayor John C. Moore calls it a, “charming community that has been shaped by over 100 years’ history,” and with a robust future on the horizon it is certainly worth a closer look.
