Mariko, originally from Japan and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii, moved to California in 2001 to attend college. She graduated from Sonoma State University with degrees in Kinesiology and Business Administration. During her senior year, Mariko started riding and racing road bikes, which led her to work at a local bike shop while studying for the MCAT to pursue sports medicine. However, fate intervened and she met her future husband, with whom she opened a bike shop in 2008. Small business ownership has taught her valuable lessons about the dynamics of exchanging goods, services, time, and money.
Over 20 years of living and cycling in Sonoma County has developed a deep knowledge of all the area has to offer, in both recreation and housing. During the process of searching, touring, bidding, and working with their REALTOR® on their first home purchase, Mariko realized that real estate suited her entrepreneurial nature and gave her the opportunity to exercise her resourcefulness, empathy, and attention to detail.
Mariko's passion for real estate makes her an excellent agent for anyone looking for a personalized and positive experience.
