Menlo Park

Welcome to Menlo Park

One of Silicon Valley’s jewels, Menlo Park is a fashionable community with a provincial atmosphere and Mediterranean climate — a delightful combination. The city is a proud Tree City USA community, supporting green principles and encouraging community care and maintenance. The eco-friendly concepts affect many of the local businesses through concern for sustainability and environmental impact. Many restaurants, for instance, offer locally-grown and environmentally-friendly menus.

Menlo Park, one of San Mateo County’s more affluent areas, is ideally situated between SFO and SJC International Airports and borders Palo Alto, home to Stanford University. The Allied Arts Guild is a composite of boutiques, studios, lavish landscaping, and artistic water features.

Bedwell-Bayfront Park on Marsh Road offers spectacular vistas of the Bay and a look onto the Federal Wildlife Preserve of Greco Island. Surrounded on three sides by the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge, the park’s 160 acres offer hiking, running, bicycling, dog walking, bird watching, kite flying, and photography. A portion of the perimeter trail around the park is a part of the San Francisco Bay Trail, a 400-mile network connecting the shoreline of all nine Bay Area counties and 47 cities.

Menlo Park is also home to Facebook headquarters, which is the largest employer in town. Much of the city’s economy is based on its many financial and tech-centric companies. The city is considered a progressive community, which also takes great pride in its history. It’s a good place to live, work, and play.
