Lauren Thompson joined the Santa Rosa Office in June of 2015 with a background in mortgage lending and marketing. She served an invaluable role on our team as Marketing Director, leading the company’s branding initiatives as well as providing critical marketing support to the team by executing targeted marketing campaigns for each property listing. She is now leveraging her "behind the scenes" experience and dedicating her time to working with clients “in the field” as a sales associate.
However, Lauren prefers the term “real estate advocate” over “real estate agent”.
“For me, it’s never about sales. It’s about guiding my clients through one of the most significant, complicated, and often emotional transactions they will ever partake in. I am grateful for our collaborative culture for thoroughly supporting me in the important role of advocating for my clients.”
Born and raised in Burlingame, Lauren graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a bachelor’s degree in Communication. She relocated from Burlingame to Santa Rosa in 2008, and “has never looked back.” She adores Sonoma County for its natural beauty, abundant farm to table dining, regional parks, friendly people, palpable sense of community, and of course the world renowned wineries.
“Sonoma County is such a great place to live! It’s absolutely beautiful, the quality of life is unmatched, and we enjoy more affordability than our bay area neighbors to the south. I love showing Bay Area clients what Sonoma County has to offer!”
Lauren is passionate about her community, and appreciates her role in local real estate for the opportunities it gives her to be a part of the fabric of where she lives. She served as event chair for John B. Riebli Elementary School PTA and raised thousands of dollars with the annual dinner dance, served on the Santa Rosa Mother’s Club Board, the Christ Methodist Preschool board, was the donations chair for Mark West Education Foundation, volunteered as “Team Mom” for her son’s little league team. She also spends time volunteering with Social Advocates for Youth and Habitat for Humanity, and most recently, she has stepped up as COPE organizer for her Mark West Estate neighborhood in Northeast Santa Rosa.
In her spare time, Lauren loves spending time with family and friends, hiking, cooking, wine tasting, and decorating their newly re-built Santa Rosa home.
