I'm so happy that Steffie was my agent and saw me through the process of finding a home in Marin County. Not only is she a knowledgeable and experienced realtor, but she's also an extremely nice and friendly person who was able to make this arduous process a lot of fun for me. Much of the transaction was long distance, so Steffie kept me apprised of the houses she thought merited a trip to Marin from my home in southern California. She has a good sense of her customers' needs and likes, and was always there for me during both the ups and the downs. She found a home for me that was well within the desired price range in a beautiful neighborhood. You're lucky if you've chosen Steffie to find a home for you!

Steffie provided guidance, thoughtful advice and a total understanding of our situation as we purchased a home in Nashville TN. I have known Steffie for a number of years; and so when we were buying in a new city, a new market, and a new development, it made perfect sense for us to call Steffie to refer us to a local realtor. Steffie contacted several local realtors and referred us to just the right agent. She asked all the right questions of the realtors to ensure there was a client-agent match. She also listened to their views of the market in relation to our needs. She found a great realtor for us and she made us feel very much at ease when we talked to the agent. In turn, they understood and listened to us because Steffie laid the groundwork for a successful business relationship. Should we buy/sell or move again, for us, there is no need to search for a realtor and someone who would truly represent our best interests. Simply put, we would call Steffie.

Steffie recently helped us buy our first home in Lucas Valley. We first met her about a year ago, but didn't start actively house hunting until a few months ago. In the interim she would update us on market conditions and new listings, but was never pushy in any way. When we were finally ready to start looking in earnest, she was readily available with homes that she felt would suit our needs. We actually managed to find a house we were interested in almost immediately. As first time buyers, we were very appreciative of Steffie's guidance through bidding, negotiating, inspections, etc. We came into a situation with the first property where we felt we had to pull out. Steffie helped us through that as well as through the whole process of buying another property. Throughout the whole process, Steffie was very thorough and attentive to our needs. Moreover she was very honest in her opinions and recommendations, which we appreciated very much. We had a somewhat difficult lender that we had to work with, but Steffie was patient and helpful with that as well. Steffie was always available whenever we called, and really went above and beyond expectations. And if there was something she didn't know or was unfamiliar with (eg minutiae of local regulations) she told us and learned with us. Beyond her availability, what really impressed me most was her absolute honesty and integrity. I always felt she had our best interest in mind, and never felt that she was trying to simply close a deal or push us in a direction that wasn't good for us. We feel very fortunate to have found her, because I know that is not always the case. She's a very sweet person who cares about her work and her clients. We loved working with her and will definitely keep in touch.

When we were in the process of moving to Mill Valley, we were introduced to Steffie by a mutual friend. We were not looking to buy a house at the time, but rather to rent for a year or two to see if we liked Marin before considering buying. She went above and beyond just to help us find a rental. About a year later, we contacted Steffie to let her know that we were casually looking for the right place but were not in any rush to buy. We occasionally sent her listings of interest that we saw online and when she saw something that she thought we would like, she sent info our way. She always provided valuable insight about any of the properties and was extremely patient with us. About a year later she brought a listing to our attention that we probably would have ignored. We went to see it and immediately knew it was the house for us. She provided us with all the information we need to formulate a winning bid while still getting the place under asking price! While in the due diligence process, Steffie introduced us to some highly knowledgeable contractors who were able to help us assess what work might be needed on the house with no commitments. She even called around to help us find the best pricing on a soils report and heater repairs. I highly recommend Steffie and will definitely work with her for any future real estate transactions.

Steffie was a wonderful resource as we considered buying in Tiburon. She really knows the area well. Steffie was very good at showing us properties that fit our needs and budget. She is incredibly responsive, often anticipating our questions before we even asked! Unfortunately, we didn't end up relocating to Tiburon, so never had the opportunity to negotiate a deal. I'd highly recommend her.

Steffie represented us in buying our home. The ease of the entire transaction was remarkable. With her extensive knowledge of the market, Steffie found the home for us. With superb professionalism, she demonstrated her negotiation ability for several months. Her follow up and customer service are worth mentioning, they are first on her mind and in her actions, including chicken soup for a cold! We were totally pleased with the experience, and have recommended to Steffie to others.

Steffie was professional from the first time we met her and continued to guide my mother, sister and me through the sale of our family home. Not only was Steffie professional, she helped us through the rather arduous and daunting tasks of cleaning out, inspections, some of the selected repairs, choosing and negotiating offers and then getting us through the closing process. Steffie was with us start to finish and was always organized, focused and fun. She found a way to help us find some moments to laugh, she was our cheerleader. We all felt Steffie was there for us and we were never passed off to an associate . I would definitely recommend working with Steffie.

Highly recommend! Was careful to listen to what we wanted/needed, and quickly zeroed in on things we hadn’t even thought of. She narrowed the search to meet our needs and was quick to scout out properties that we had seen, to let us know if it was what we were looking for. Once we found the “right” property, she followed up and paid attention to detail that was so professional, helpful, and helped us relax during a stressful time. In negotiations she thought of things we hadn’t, and we ended up with a deal that we are completely comfortable with, and confident that we have gotten the perfect property at a very fair price. Steffie Finkelstein is a gem.

Steffie is THE BEST!! We were very suddenly in the market to buy a house in this crazy housing market, that is Marin. Even with the competitive nature of the market, we were not only able to buy a house that we absolutely LOVE, but we did it in only FIVE WEEKS!! And we did not pay cash. We had a very tough loan. Because of many challenging issues with the house and our personal circumstances, it was an extremely stressful process. But Steffie made it all better, kept it on track very smoothly, and even kept us laughing. I feel completely confident that she really did have our best interest at heart. She made sure our bid was accepted AND that we didn't offer too much, and even got us a huge credit back from the seller! She is extremely professional and detail oriented. She did not miss a beat. She kept us up to date on everything blow by blow and was seemingly available at all hours of the day and night. I felt like she bent over backwards to serve us. And once the house closed, she was still by our side making sure we had what we needed. She connected us to great contractors and other professionals whom we needed and they were all excellent. We feel so blessed that we were given her name by a friend and know that our lives are forever changed because of it. We are so very happy in our new home and are so grateful for her help, care and guidance. I would recommend her to my closest family and friends. I can't imagine a better agent. She has everything we could have asked for.

Steffie did a FABULOUS job helping me buy my first home! She knew the market so well that I only had to submit one bid and I won my house! She worked hard to help me win: understanding the comps and the sellers desires. She also helped me with the loan and appraisal process. I highly recommend Steffie and will use her again!

After working with such a spectacular professional it's hard to know where to begin with my comments. Steffie is simply amazing! *Listened to what was important to us and thoughtful about the use of our time. * Has a high level of knowledge about the area and the process of buying/selling homes. *Helped us understand potential pitfalls but left decisions to us. *Big communicator, which is important to us. We always knew what was happening and going to happen. *She did several different things to help us that most realtors wouldn't, i.e., help with research on the permits/plans of the house, help connect us to professionals for a wide variety of needs relating to the house, did small errands for us in connection with the home. *Great negotiator! The negotiations went great and we got our home for under asking and got a further reduction which Steffie was instrumental in the strategy and execution of our approach. *Calm in the heat of battle. When things got intense, she was the calming force, always staying focused on the important issues and not being distracted by drama and helped us stay focused too! I can not say enough about Steffie's professional approach and she would be a critical addition to my real estate team and I would have any family member work with her knowing that they would be well taken care of.
