Barry Klein has been in the real estate business for nearly thirty-five years. He began his career as an investor, property manager, and real estate syndicator, duties in which he remains active to this day.
Mr. Klein graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1969 with a Bachelor of Arts. Thereafter, he attended graduate school at the University of Oregon, Eugene, in which he specialized in Music Theory, Composition, and History. Mr. Klein remains active in his musical pursuits as spiritual fulfillment. In 1977, he returned from Oregon to the Bay Area and resumed real estate activities, with a specialization in syndication of multifamily properties. He has since been involved in the representation of buyers and sellers of residential and, principally, commercial properties since 1993, when he joined Mason McDuffie Real Estate Company, now Better Homes and Gardens/Mason McDuffie Highland Partners Realty.
He attained his CCIM designation (Certified Commercial Investment Member) from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) in 1999. His areas of specialization in real estate include acquisition, disposition, and leasing of multifamily and retail investment property; in these areas of practice, he represents buyers, sellers, tenants, and landlords. Mr. Klein also engages in fee-based real-estate consultation with buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants, whom he coaches regarding financial, ownership, and feasibility issues related to the purchase, hold, and disposition of investment real estate.
