About Crocker Amazon

At the southernmost edge of San Francisco, you’ll find the Crocker Amazon neighborhood. The dense residential area is sprawling with single-family homes in neat rows with manicured front lawns. Considered one of the greatest sleeper neighborhoods of the city, its amenities are innate and plentiful. ...

Most commercial action takes place along Mission Street, which forms its western border against the Outer Mission. The street is full of ethnic stores and restaurants, bars, take-out stops, and essential retailers. And as with any truly suburban district, Crocker Amazon has multiple well-known playgrounds within a stone’s throw of its borders, along with well-lit and clean soccer and baseball fields.

The homes vary in architectural style from Victorian and Edwardian to Mid-Century Modern, and possess one of the rarest amenities for San Francisco — space — boasting up to 10 feet on either side between houses, an unheard of privacy buffer for any big city.

Moving around in the district by automobile is relatively easy, including parking. But the city extends its convenient public transportation lines all the way out to this bordering San Francisco neighborhood, and the proximity to the freeway is a true convenience.

While its southernmost location in San Francisco puts it at a distance to the city-center, it also provides the best of both worlds, a truly residential opportunity with easy access to the perks of a big city in a moment’s notice.
