About Anza Vista

Anza Vista is a mixed-use neighborhood with both quiet residential streets and large commercial properties. Residents have access to some of the only large big-box chain stores in the city as well as many big-name grocers. And with its convenient location, residents can enjoy neighboring districts that offer plenty of San Francisco-style small businesses. ...

Anza Vista was historically home to the San Francisco Calvary Cemetery until burials were banned within city limits. Remapped for housing, the hill became a development zone for Spanish-Mediterranean style homes in the 1930s and 1940s, and today has a wide variety of architectural styles from Mission Revival to Mid-century Modern.

One of the biggest pieces of this neighborhood is the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center and Hospital. The location within Anza Vista offers members everything from routine appointments and physical therapy to a top-rated emergency room.

Residents attracted to Anza Vista are often seeking a calm undertone in their living environment, but with easy access to the bustling city. Those who live within the borders of the district can easily find small pockets of entertainment, shopping and dining without traveling too far. And its location is a cross-section for many of the public transportation lines of the city, making it simple to travel to downtown or even to local freeways.
